A native of the Midwest, Sandra K. Allen has been
painting for over 30 years. She always considered herself as having an
artistic flare, so when she finally picked up a brush, she took up
painting with a passion.
Sandi attended workshops throughout the country, including several
with nationally known artist, author and teacher, the late Claude
Croney.
“As I paint, I look for a mood, something
touching, of sentimental value,” says Allen. She is a sensitive
observer, patient, and willing to return again and again until she
captures the image in watercolor. Allen splits her time between the
hills north of Omaha and her winter cottage in the coastal village of
Cedar Key, Florida. Both venues offer her a painter’s paradise of
opportunities. Sandi's works are
available for purchase through out year at Catering Catering, Blair,
Nebraska and Island Arts in Cedar Key, Florida. She teaches
painting during the winter season at the Cedar Key Arts Center.
